Geophysical Survey - Abbey, Baker and York
The collection of data (to include 2DHR seismic, SBP pinger, SBP sparker, multi beam, echo-sounder, sidescan sonar (SSS) over an area of 2 by 2 km at Baker . An environmental baseline survey will also be conducted within this area, comprising a visual using a ROV / AUV, drop cameras and grab sampling. The wider greater working area, within which the survey vessel will maneuver during line turns and during equipment deployment and recovery, is anticipated to be 36 km2
The scope at the Abbey- York pipeline involves the collection of geophysical data, sub bottom profiler (SBP), multi beam, echo-sounder, sidescan sonar (SSS) over 11 parallel lines with 50 m spacing to allow for 100% overlap, alongside 600 m cross lines at 2 km spacing. Environmental sampling (with 4 replicates) will also be conducted within this area at 1 km spacing along the 8 km pipeline route. Intelligent sampling will also be undertaken at the proposed pipeline route, however this will be disclosed further by the environmental contractor. The proposed pipeline area, within which the survey vessel will manoeuvre during line turns and during equipment deployment and recovery, is anticipated to be 33 km2 (kilometres squared). The Baker survey areas and greater working area, alongside the Abbey Drill Centre and York Platform are located in UKCS Block 47/3. The Baker survey areas (including the greater working area) is located approximately 34 km northwest of Withernsea on the Yorkshire coastline at its closest point and 152 km from the UK / Netherlands transboundary line. Isolde OBN Seismic Survey - UKCS Blocks 22/30, 23/26, 23/27, 29/5, 30/1 and 30/2
TGS will be conducting a OBN 3D seismic survey. The nodes will be deployed to the seabed from the Normand Tonjer vessel. The seismic source will be on a separate vessel, the Oceanic Champion. A chase vessel (Shemarah II LH65) will also accompany the survey vessels to liaise with fishermen and other small vessels and prevent collisions with the survey equipment. The survey vessels will follow a pre-planned set of survey lines and move at a speed of around 4.3 knots.

Judy oil export tie in spool at NORPIPE wye - pipe exposure
Judy oil export tie in spool at NORPIPE wye - pipe exposure over ca 50m creating additional trawl hazard. Rock was removed from Judy oil export tie in spool at NORPIPE wye in mid 2022 in support of valve changeout at NORPIPE wye. Valve changeout has been delayed until 2025 at which point rock will be reinstated. Absence of rock poses an increased risk of snagging fishing nets and also of pipeline damage.
